II. Victory Tower

The design of the Vietnam Military History Museum is shaped like a crescent, with a system of tilted columns at various angles. The building consists of 4 upper floors and 1 basement. The highlight of this museum is the Victory Tower, located at the entrance, symbolizing the connection between the outdoor square and the interior of the building. With the unique combination of the building’s design and the tower, the Vietnam Military History Museum creates a strong visual impression for visitors.

With a height of 45 meters and a five-pointed star on top of each other, the Victory Tower symbolizes the commemoration of 1945 – the year the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was born.

The Victory Tower is designed to seem as though it is reaching up toward the sky, powerfully reflecting the will and spirit of the nation, with aspirations to rise higher and a deep commitment to peace. The five-pointed star represents the five social classes of Vietnam, symbolizing the five blocks of national unity: Scholars, Farmers, Workers, Merchants, and Soldiers.
